The Healing Process
I work from the point of view that healing is the process of becoming whole. Our wounds, both physical and emotional, restrict our ability to be fully present and satisfied in our lives. By regaining the energy we have lost through trauma or spend daily on self limiting beliefs we can learn the habit of happiness and become more fulfilled. All too often in our culture we tend towards treating the symptons rather than curing the illness. I suggest an approach of ' Solve, not salve. ' Illness is often a sympton of a deeper emotional issue that has not been dealt with. I aim in my work to deal with these root causes and begin the process of becoming whole. While there are things that a healer can do to create a short term improvement in symptons, or even the root issue, essentially we must work to heal ourselves. As such, while I work as a healer, my primary focus is on facilitating you in your own healing process. Healing is not something I do to people, it is something I aim to help them to do for themselves.
